Ethics and Integrity in Scientific Practice

The content of the articles published by IRIE is entirely the responsibility of its authors. The authors ensure that the submitted work does not contain issues that could be interpreted as defamatory or violation of the copyrights of third parties. The authors guarantee that the privacy, dignity, and integrity of individuals involved in the research are respected and that ethical precepts for research involving animals are followed. In appropriate cases, the article must include the favorable opinion of the institution's Research Ethics Committee (s) to which the author(s) are affiliated. Regarding issues of authorship and integrity in scientific research, IRIE uses the guidelines on the subject of Ethics and Integrity in Scientific Practice as a benchmark. These guidelines are defined by the Commission designated by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) in Brazil through Ordinance PO-085 of May. 5, 2011. It also considers the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
